Samsung Asset Management Introduces First U.S. Natural Gas Infrastructure Thematic ETF
Samsung Asset Management has launched its first thematic active ETF focusing on natural gas infrastructure in the U.S. market. The 'Amplify U.S. Natural Gas Infrastructure ETF' (USNG) is operated locally by Samsung Asset Management’s New York subsidiary and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. This ETF invests across the full value chain of the U.S. natural gas industry, aiming for stable dividend income. It differentiates itself from existing energy infrastructure ETFs by reflecting the importance of the natural gas industry within the United States. In collaboration with Amplify, Samsung Asset Management has developed this ETF with expectations for stable growth in the U.S. market. Notably, as the first ETF to focus on natural gas infrastructure, it marks Samsung Asset Management's inaugural ETF strategy export. This ETF allows for investments up to 25% in MLPs (Master Limited Partnerships), seeking higher dividend returns. The launch of the ETF is a strategic move considering the U.S. energy transition and LNG export competitiveness, offering new opportunities for investors based on the stable growth potential of the natural gas industry. It supports innovation within the U.S. energy sector and will serve as a crucial platform for Samsung Asset Management's global market expansion.
