ETF Market Update: Surge in Space Tech and Expansion of New Listings
This week, the domestic ETF market spotlighted Mirae Asset's 'TIGER US Space Tech' ETF, which posted a remarkable 39.65% gain—making it the top performer. Notably, ETFs related to the US aerospace industry ranked high, fueled by heightened investor sentiment amid anticipation for a potential SpaceX IPO.
In parallel, eight new ETFs were listed on the Korean Exchange, introduced by leading asset managers such as IBK, Shinhan, Samsung Active, Midas, Mirae Asset, NH-Amundi, and Timefolio. These new products include both passive offerings such as KOSDAQ150 and KOSDAQ TOP10 and active funds like Midas’s KOSDAQ Active and Samsung’s KOSPI Active, as well as ETFs tracking US AI memory semiconductors and the global humanoid robotics industry. As a result, the total number of listed ETFs in Korea has reached an all-time high of 1,115.
The addition of these diverse themes and investment strategies further broadens the range of options available to investors, reflecting the growing sophistication and maturity of the Korean ETF market.
