Korean ETF Market Surpasses 1,115 Listed Products as 8 New ETFs Debut
On the 19th, leading Korean asset managers—including IBK, Shinhan, Samsung Active, Midas, Mirae Asset, NH-Amundi, and Timefolio—listed 8 new Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) on the main exchange. The new launches encompass both passive products tracking indices like KOSDAQ 150 and KOSDAQ TOP10, as well as active ETFs such as Midas KOSDAQ Active and Samsung KOSPI Active, which involve portfolio managers’ strategies. Notably, the new listings also feature theme-based ETFs targeting sectors like the global humanoid robotics industry, as well as bond-type funds, expanding the diversity of investment opportunities for local investors. With these additions, the total number of ETFs listed on the Korean stock market has grown to 1,115, reflecting the steady expansion of the domestic ETF market. This growing product diversity is expected to provide investors with more nuanced choices for portfolio diversification and risk management.
