Domestic Semiconductor ETF Boom: Spotlight on 'SOL AI Semiconductor TOP2 Plus' and 'TIGER Semiconductor TOP10 Covered Call Active'
Shinhan Asset Management's 'SOL AI Semiconductor TOP2 Plus' ETF has achieved "mega ETF" status by surpassing 1 trillion KRW in assets just 50 days after listing. The fund allocates 25% each to Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, focusing on major domestic semiconductor stocks and key value chain companies such as SK Square and Samsung Electro-Mechanics. The rapid accumulation of assets is largely attributed to robust net buying by retail investors (5.414 billion KRW), alongside inflows from institutional and pension accounts. The ETF has recently added LG Innotek and ISC to its portfolio, demonstrating agility in reflecting current market trends, and has achieved top ranking in net retail purchases among semiconductor ETFs. Mirae Asset Management’s 'TIGER Semiconductor TOP10 Covered Call Active' ETF is also drawing strong attention. As Korea's first actively managed covered call ETF, it has swiftly attracted capital since launch. The fund recently rebalanced its portfolio to newly add SK Square and Samsung Electro-Mechanics, while maintaining a combined allocation of over 50% to SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics, thereby expanding investment coverage across the AI server and semiconductor value chains. Through its covered call strategy, it secures additional option premiums and is scheduled to pay its first distribution on the 15th.
