The expectation of improvement in the steel and secondary battery sectors has driven an uptrend in POSCO Group-related stocks, leading to a significant increase in related ETF returns. Notably, the 'ACE POSCO Group Focus' ETF recorded a 21.79% return over the past month, outperforming the 'KODEX Samsung Group,' which includes Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. This uptrend is likely influenced by an improvement in POSCO Holdings' third-quarter sales and operating profits. Conversely, the 'PLUS Hanwha Group Stock,' which includes defense stocks, showed a downturn with a 2.62% loss over the past month. The KOSDAQ index continues to attract individual investors this year despite the high market volatility, making it challenging to maintain a clear upward trajectory. Although the KOSDAQ index broke the 900 mark, foreign net selling persisted, prompting individual investors to net buy 78.1 billion KRW of the 'KODEX KOSDAQ150' ETF. This trend contrasts with the net selling observed in early October, and the market capitalization gap between KOSPI and KOSDAQ continues to widen. However, with most AI-related stocks concentrated in KOSPI, the sustained growth of KOSDAQ might be limited.
