Samsung Asset Management's 'KODEX Target Date Fund (TDF) Exchange Traded Fund (ETF)' trio has surpassed 200 billion won in assets, 30 months after their launch. The KODEX TDF2050 Active, KODEX TDF2040 Active, and KODEX TDF2030 Active have shown steady growth, attracting 1361 billion won in investments over the past year. The appeal to investors stems from their strategic design around major global index ETFs, ensuring stability and delivering high returns coupled with low fees. These ETFs have become particularly popular among pension investors, with their inclusion in retirement pension accounts accelerating fund inflows. The funds boast impressive returns of 48.7%, 41.6%, and 33.1% for the KODEX TDF2050, 2040, and 2030, respectively, cementing their position in the market. Holding 5.1% of the total TDF market share, these ETFs outshine public TDFs in terms of convenience and yields. The rise of ETF-type TDFs highlights their potential as smart retirement investment options, driven by their low fees, stability, and investor-friendly trading characteristics.
