Launch of Aerospace ETF and Strength in Construction ETFs
Shinhan Asset Management has listed the 'SOL US Aerospace TOP10 ETF' on June 21, offering domestic investors direct access to the US private aerospace sector. This ETF tracks the 'KEDI US Aerospace TOP10 Index', comprising ten US-listed companies that play key roles in the New Space industry, including Rocket Lab, AST SpaceMobile, EchoStar, and Planet Labs. With an annual fee of 0.45% and classified in risk grade 2, the ETF is designed to flexibly include new entrants such as SpaceX, should it list in June. This launch allows investors to diversify portfolios with exposure both to the growth of private space enterprises and future industry milestones. Meanwhile, the domestic ETF market has seen the construction sector deliver standout returns this year. The KODEX Construction ETF and TIGER 200 Construction ETF have recorded impressive gains of 119.8% and 112.1%, respectively. Portfolio composition is heavily weighted towards leading construction firms such as Hyundai Engineering & Construction, Samsung E&A, and Daewoo E&C. The strong performance is largely attributed to rising interest in nuclear energy and Middle East reconstruction themes. Experts predict further upside in construction ETFs, citing continued momentum from Middle East rebuilding projects and growing global nuclear plant orders.
