Growth of the ETF Market and Investment Strategies
Nam Yong-soo, head of ETF operations at Korea Investment & Trust Management, emphasized the importance of steady investing and dollar-cost averaging to individual investors as strategies to overcome market volatility. He pointed out the stargate project and AI-related technologies as factors driving the rise of semiconductor stocks, explaining that these technological innovations support the growth of the semiconductor market.
The domestic ETF market is projected to grow to 250 trillion won by 2025, attributed to positive factors such as the continuous growth potential of the semiconductor industry. Korea Investment & Trust Management's 'ACE Global Semiconductor TOP4 Plus' ETF is recommended to investors as a product that leverages such industrial backgrounds to maximize returns.
Meanwhile, NH-Amundi Asset Management presented the 'NH-Amundi Growth-Driven Korea Fund' in response to Korea's structural transformation. This fund concentrates on AI semiconductors, nuclear energy, and defense industries, implementing strategies to actively respond to domestic industrial changes under government support.
With a 250 billion won seed money contribution from NongHyup affiliates and a part of management fees being allocated to public interest funds, the fund considers both profitability and social contribution from a long-term perspective. As of the 12th, the fund has seen a commendable performance with a one-month return of 19.97% and a three-month return of 37.93%.
