KRX Lists Five New Thematic ETFs Focused on Semiconductor and Space Sectors
On June 14, the Korea Exchange (KRX) announced the listing of five new exchange-traded funds (ETFs) managed by Hana Asset Management, Mirae Asset Global Investments, Korea Investment Trust, and Samsung Active Asset Management. The newly listed ETFs are ‘1Q K-Semiconductor TOP2+’, ‘1Q K-Semiconductor TOP2 Bond Hybrid 50’, ‘TIGER US Space Tech’, ‘ACE US Space Tech Active’, and ‘KoAct Global AI Memory Semiconductor Active’. These products target both domestic and international companies in the semiconductor and space sectors and include both passive and active portfolio management strategies. The total trust principal for these ETFs is set at approximately KRW 73 billion, with each fund unit priced at KRW 10,000. With this new listing, the number of ETFs traded on the KRX will increase to 1,093, further expanding the ETF market in Korea. Notably, some of the new offerings capitalize on trending themes such as AI memory semiconductors, providing investors with innovative options to diversify their portfolios. The KRX also cautioned investors about the potential for additional costs associated with these products and urged thorough review of investment details and risks before participation.
