Quantum Computing and Dividend Strategies Propel Korea's ETF Market
Interest in the commercialization of quantum computing technology has boosted the returns of ETFs listed in Korea. Notably, Shinhan Asset Management's 'SOL U.S. Quantum Computing TOP10' ETF topped the return charts with a 15.49% rise. This was largely driven by a significant technological breakthrough from one of its components, Rigetti Computing, whose stock soared by 31% in a single day. These ETFs primarily consist of major U.S. listed companies, thereby exhibiting high market volatility, warranting caution from investors. Meanwhile, Hanwha Asset Management has unveiled a new strategy to position itself as a 'global dividend-leading house.' It plans to launch high-dividend ETFs targeting the Korean and U.S. markets. The PLUS U.S. High Dividend ETF, in particular, aims to provide attractive dividend yields. Since rebranding to 'PLUS' last year, the firm's assets under management have seen substantial growth, and they are also preparing solutions in response to the institutionalization of virtual assets.
