Rise in Popularity of Covered Call and REIT ETFs

The increasing demand for financial products that provide regular dividend payouts has led to covered call and REIT ETFs emerging as popular investment options. According to recent data from the Korea Exchange, the total net asset value of covered call ETFs has reached approximately 12 trillion won, marking a nearly 16-fold increase from the previous year. Notably, Samsung Asset Management's 'KODEX 200 Target Weekly Covered Call' ETF has attracted over 720 billion won in personal investment just this year, highlighting its growing popularity.
Moreover, with rising expectations of interest rate cuts, the REIT ETF market is experiencing a positive trend. For instance, the 'TIGER Real Estate Infrastructure TOP10 Active' aims for an annual dividend yield of around 6%, appealing to investors. This trend reflects the growing interest among investors for products that offer stable dividend income, projecting a promising outlook for the future growth of these ETFs.
