Samsung Asset Management's KODEX High Dividend ETF Sees 292% Increase in Net Assets After Methodology Overhaul
Samsung Asset Management's KODEX High Dividend ETF has experienced substantial growth in net assets following a recent overhaul of its index methodology. The fund's assets surged by 292%, reaching KRW 2,617 billion, spurred by heightened interest from investors seeking regular dividend incomes. The portfolio has been restructured to focus on large-cap blue-chip stocks, especially those sensitive to economic conditions, aiming for higher returns. Over the past month, the KODEX High Dividend ETF recorded an accumulated return of 13.56%, surpassing the rise in the KOSPI index. Additionally, the expected dividend yield has been adjusted upwards from 5% to 6%, adding further appeal to investors. Key holdings in the portfolio include DB Insurance, Hyundai Elevator, and Cheil Worldwide, which stand to benefit from reduced market uncertainties and government shareholder return policies. The portfolio also emphasizes companies with strong dominance in the domestic market.
