Samsung Asset Management Launches 'KODEX India Nifty Midcap 100' ETF
Samsung Asset Management has launched Korea’s first exchange-traded fund (ETF), 'KODEX India Nifty Midcap 100,' that invests in Indian mid-cap stocks on the KOSPI. This ETF tracks the Nifty Midcap 100 Index in India and focuses on mid-sized companies in key domestic growth sectors like infrastructure and consumer goods. The investment strategy is underpinned by India's structural growth, government policies aimed at boosting the domestic economy, and potential interest rate cuts. India's economic expansion is being driven by structural changes and recent domestic stimulus policies, which are expected to propel the growth of mid-cap stocks. Additionally, Samsung Asset Management aims to enhance access to the Indian market for domestic investors, offering a chance to invest in India's growth potential. This ETF differentiates itself from existing India-focused ETFs that are large-cap focused, by offering a unique investment opportunity in mid-caps, especially as the PER burden on these stocks lessens, increasing their investment appeal.
