Rising Popularity of High-Dividend ETFs and Hanwha Asset Management’s International Recognition
The domestic ETF market is witnessing a surge in interest towards high-dividend ETFs among investors. Of the total 1,099 ETFs listed, 173 are monthly dividend ETFs, which are based on a diverse range of underlying assets including equities, bonds, and real estate. Notably, monthly dividend ETFs utilizing covered call strategies have garnered attention for their high distribution rates, presenting investors with attractive options for building income-focused portfolios. These products are also being effectively employed within mixed allocation strategies such as a 60:40 split between stocks and bonds.
Furthermore, Hanwha Asset Management achieved significant recognition at the 'Asia Asset Management ETF Awards 2026.' The PLUS K-Defense ETF was awarded in the 'Best Absolute Performance ETF' category for both Korea and the Asia-Pacific region, and the PLUS High Dividend ETF was named the 'Best Dividend ETF' in Korea. These accolades highlight the competitiveness of Korean ETFs, while also enhancing Hanwha Asset Management’s position in the wider Asia-Pacific ETF market. Moreover, by actively promoting the strengths of the Korean stock market and industries, Hanwha is signaling potential for the global expansion of domestic ETFs.
