Korea Investment Management and CUAM's Joint Entry into Hong Kong ETF Market
Korea Investment Management has partnered with China Universal Asset Management's Hong Kong subsidiary (CUAM HK) to make a joint entry into the Hong Kong Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) market. This strategic collaboration aims to facilitate easier access for mainland Chinese investors to foreign assets through the use of the ETF Connect scheme. Both companies will collaborate on the planning and management of ETF products, with CUAM showcasing a variety of ETF offerings while Korea Investment Management provides consultancy. The ETF Connect initiative is expected to become a pivotal tool for offering mainland Chinese investors opportunities to invest in foreign assets. Through this alliance, Korea Investment Management seeks to strengthen its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, while expanding its reach into the global market. Furthermore, this cooperation is anticipated to have a positive impact not only in Hong Kong but also in other Asian markets.
