Hanhwa Asset Management's Global ETF Expansion Strategy
Hanhwa Asset Management's Global ETF Expansion Strategy
Hanwha Asset Management has set an ambitious goal to increase its exchange-traded fund (ETF) assets to 100 trillion won within the next three years. Currently, Hanwha's ETF assets have surpassed 10 trillion won, marking a nearly threefold increase in just 19 months. A critical part of this strategy is the expansion into global markets, including the U.S. and Europe, with plans to launch various new active ETF products under the PLUS brand to broaden their market reach. Particularly, the 'PLUS K-Defense' ETF has gained spotlight due to its impressive return of 177% last year. Additionally, the newly planned 'PLUS K-Core Manufacturing Active' ETF is set to debut in the U.S. market. Through this product expansion, Hanwha Asset Management aims to secure global competitiveness, meet diverse customer needs, and attract international capital. Hanwha is also expanding its ETF strategy management team and research organization to strategically manage these assets. This will increase the proportion of active ETFs and provide differentiated investment solutions. The rapid growth of PLUS ETF demonstrates Hanwha's capability in attracting global investments and strengthens its growth momentum in both domestic and international markets.
