KIAMCO Launches 'ACE K Export Key TOP10 Industry Active ETF'
Korea Investment Management (KIAMCO) announced the launch of the 'ACE K Export Key TOP10 Industry Active ETF' on the 31st. This ETF is benchmarked to NH Investment & Securities' 'iSelect K Export Key Industry Index' and selectively invests in leading companies across ten major export-driven sectors in Korea, such as semiconductors, shipbuilding, defense, and K-content. The portfolio consists of 12 to 15 stocks, with at least one stock from each sector, ensuring the fund avoids concentration in a specific industry or company. Exposure is strictly limited to a maximum of 40% per sector and 10% per individual stock, reflecting robust risk management.
Actively managed, the fund manager may adjust the portfolio in response to evolving market conditions and growth opportunities. Additionally, investors may benefit from export firms’ revenue in USD and cost structure in KRW, making it advantageous in a strong dollar environment. However, as a performance-based product, a risk of principal loss exists. This ETF is drawing attention as a strategic vehicle to capture Korea’s export-led industry growth amid global supply chain shifts and currency fluctuations.
